M&M jumps on launching first compact and versatile SUV Quanto

M&M is currently trading at Rs. 809.50, up by 24.55 points or 3.13% from its previous closing of Rs. 784.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 795.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 821.00 and Rs. 793.00 respectively. So far 1, 81,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 874.75 on 28-Oct-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 621.75 on 18-May-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 821.00 and Rs. 778.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 49,701 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 25.45% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 47.55% and 21.26% respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), a part of the $15.4 billion Mahindra Group has launched the first compact and versatile SUV Quanto in Mumbai. Designed and developed in-house by Mahindra on the robust, proven and highly successful Igenio platform, the Quanto is a direct outcome insights pointing to the need for a compact and affordable SUV.

The Quanto will be available nationally at Mahindra dealership, with four distinct and attractive variants- C2, C4, C6 and C8. The Quanto price range starts from Rs 5.82 lakh (ex-showroom Thane) for the base C2 model to Rs 8.36 lakh (ex-showroom Thane) for the fully loaded top end model.

All the Quanto variants are powered by a 1.5 litre mCR100 diesel engine giving a category best output of 100bhp and a massive 240nm of torque. The mCR100 engine has India’s first twin stage turbo technology for maximum power and excellent torque delivery.
