Indian Overseas Bank shines after govt sanctions Rs 4360 crore capital infusion

Indian Overseas Bank is currently trading at Rs. 12.30, up by 1.04 points or 9.24% from its previous closing of Rs. 11.26 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 11.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 12.85 and Rs. 11.00 respectively. So far 368653 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 15.80 on 02-Apr-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 8.75 on 15-Oct-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 12.85 and Rs. 10.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 15933.11 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 92.52%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 3.36% and 4.12% respectively.

Government of India (GoI) has sanctioned release of capital of Rs 4360 crore towards contribution of the Central Government in the preferential allotment of equity shares of the Indian Overseas Bank during the financial year 2019-20 as government's investment.
