Bajaj Auto reports 3% fall in December sales

Bajaj Auto has registered a fall of 3% in total sales to 336,055 units in December 2019 against 346,199 units in December 2018. The sales of the motorcycles decreased by 5% and stood at 284,802 units in December 2019 against 298,855 units in December 2018. The company has reported 8% rise in commercial vehicles sales, which stood at 51,253 units as compared to 47,344 units in month of December 2018.

Besides, the company’s total exports stood at 182,892 units, registering a rise of 10% as compared to 165,848 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
