GAIL jumps on planning to raise funds through bonds

GAIL (India) is currently trading at Rs. 127.30, up by 1.90 points or 1.52% from its previous closing of Rs. 125.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 126.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 127.80 and Rs. 124.95 respectively. So far 128350 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 183.20 on 19-Mar-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 110.55 on 10-Dec-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 127.80 and Rs. 122.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 57369.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.13%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 43.26% and 4.60% respectively.

GAIL (India) is planning to raise funds by way of borrowing of Indian Rupee Debt through secured / unsecured, redeemable, taxable Non- Convertible Bond(s) in one or more tranches from time to time on private placement basis within the limits as approved by the board including delegation for approval of allotment of Bonds to the Allotment Committee.

The meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company is scheduled to be held on January 16, 2020 to consider same.

GAIL India is India’s principal Natural Gas Company with activities ranging from Gas Transmission and Marketing to Processing (for fractionating LPG, Propane, SBP Solvent and Pentane); transmission of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG); production and marketing of Petrochemicals like HDPE and LLDPE and leasing bandwidth in Telecommunications.
