GMR Infrastructure to increase transaction size by agreeing to divest 49% stake in GMR Airports

GMR Infrastructure has decided to increase the transaction size by agreeing to divest 49% stake in GMR Airports (vs previously agreed 44.44%) to TRIL Urban Transport (part of TATA Group), an affiliate of GIC and SSG Capital Management in one or more tranches. An Amended and Restated Shares Subscription and Purchase Agreement and Shareholders Agreement have been executed to give effect to the above.

GMR Infrastructure is engaged in generation of power, mining and exploration activities, development of highways, infrastructure development, such as development and maintenance of airports and special economic zone; construction business, including engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracting activities and operation of airports and special economic zones.
