Hindustan Zinc reports 27% fall in Q3 net profit

Hindustan Zinc has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2019.

The company has reported 26.73% fall in its net profit at Rs 1620 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 2211 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 15.98% at Rs 5117 crore for Q3FY20 as compared Rs 6090 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Hindustan Zinc, the world’s second biggest zinc producer, operates the world’s third largest open-pit mine, and world’s largest Zinc Mine in Rampura Agucha, Rajasthan.
