Allahabad Bank to consider allotment of shares to govt against capital infusion

Allahabad Bank is going to consider and approve a proposal for raising equity capital of the Bank by an amount aggregating up to Rs 2153 crore (including premium) through preferential allotment of new equity shares of the Bank to the Government of India against their capital infusion of Rs 2153 crore. The meeting of the Board of Directors of the Bank is scheduled to be held on January 24, 2020, to consider the same.

Allahabad Bank is a nationalised bank with its headquarters in Kolkata. It is the oldest joint stock bank in India.
