DLF surges on investing Rs 5,000 crore to develop large commercial project in Chennai

DLF is currently trading at Rs. 260.55, up by 2.35 points or 0.91% from its previous closing of Rs. 258.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 258.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 262.00 and Rs. 257.25 respectively. So far 667441 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 263.65 on 20-Jan-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 133.90 on 01-Oct-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 263.65 and Rs. 255.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 64630.39 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.95%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.08% and 4.97% respectively.

DLF has invested Rs 5,000 crore to develop large commercial project in Chennai as part of its strategy to expand portfolio of rent yielding properties. The company would commence construction of 2.5 million sq ft area in the first phase. The project, to be completed in the next 5-6 years, would help additional 70,000 direct and 6,000 ancillary employment opportunities once operational.
