Prakash Industries slips despite reporting 2.5% rise in sales volume for Q3FY20

Prakash Industries is currently trading at Rs 51.45, down by 1.35 points or 2.56% from its previous closing of Rs. 52.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 52.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 53.30 and Rs. 51.00 respectively. So far 21974 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 85.85 on 25-Feb-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 31.20 on 22-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 56.20 and Rs. 51.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 890.57 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.10%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 3.71% and 54.19% respectively.

Prakash Industries has registered Steel Sales volume at 2.53 lakh tonnes records growth of 2.5% in Q3FY20 on Year-on-Year basis and 6.4% on Quarter-on-Quarter basis. The company has registered growth in its Sales volume despite the challenging times faced by the Steel Industry during the period.

Prakash Industries is an integrated steel and power company. Its products include coal mines, iron ore mines, sponge iron, power, steel melting shop and ferro alloys.
