Vedanta reports 49% rise in Q3 consolidated net profit

Vedanta has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2019.

The company has reported a fall of 81.73% in its net profit at Rs 891 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 4,878 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 41.28% at Rs 9,243 crore for Q3FY20 as compared Rs 15,740 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 49.17% in its net profit attributed to the Owners at Rs 2,348 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1,574 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 12.21% at Rs 22,007 crore for Q3FY20 as compared Rs 25,067 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
