Insecticides (India) in green on entering into JV with Otsuka Agri Techno Co

Insecticides (India) is currently trading at Rs. 441.80, up by 9.45 points or 2.19% from its previous closing of Rs. 432.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 437.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 441.80 and Rs. 437.40 respectively. So far 2,153 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 476.80 on 07-Feb-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 311.25 on 18-Nov-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 441.80 and Rs. 392.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 560.00 crore.

Insecticides (India) has entered into joint venture (JV) with Otsuka AgriTechno Co (OAT), Japan to set up a new research and development (R&D) Centre at Chopanki (Rajasthan) for new products in the country.

The JV would mainly focus on research and invention of new agricultural chemicals besides managing intellectual property for the products invented in the Research Centre. OAT would provide the technology and know-how of the research and invention methods.
