Bajaj Auto reports 3% fall in January sales

Bajaj Auto has registered a fall of 3% in total sales to 394,473 units in January 2020 against 407,150 units in January 2019. The sales of the motorcycles decreased by 5% and stood at 332,342 units in January 2020 against 350,460 units in January 2019. The company has reported 10% rise in commercial vehicles sales, which stood at 62,131 units as compared to 56,690 units in month of January 2019.

Besides, the company’s total exports stood at 201,601 units, registering a rise of 15% as compared to 175,689 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
