NHPC has been conferred the CBIP Award 2020 for ‘Outstanding performing utility in hydro power sector’ at a glittering function held at New Delhi on February 19, 2020.
The company has been conferred this prestigious award for outstanding contribution to the nation by use of latest technologies and smart solutions for efficient operation of hydro power plants in the country, giving importance to environmental, social and economic aspects besides contribution for development of hydro power in the neighbouring countries.
NHPC is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
