L&T spurts as its arm bags order worth Rs 2130 crore

L&T is currently trading at Rs. 1606.60, up by 10.35 points or 0.65% from its previous closing of Rs. 1596.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1601.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1619.00 and Rs. 1601.00 respectively. So far 99,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1619.00 on 28-Sep-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 971.00 on 21-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1619.00 and Rs. 1522.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 98,614 crore.

Institutions and Non-Institutions held 52.48% and 44.33% respectively.

Larsen and Toubro Construction (L&T Construction), the wholly owned subsidiary of Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has bagged orders worth Rs 2130 crore across various business segments in September 2012.

In the Buildings and Factories IC, the company has bagged new orders worth Rs 1650 crore. A major order has been received for the construction of multistoried residential towers in Mumbai from a leading developer. New order has been also secured for design and construction of a hospital building and additional works from ongoing projects across India.

L&T Construction has also secured orders aggregating Rs 480 crore from various ongoing projects in the Infrastructure IC and other business units.

Recently, L&T Construction won new orders valued over Rs 1,241 crore across various business segments in September 2012.
