NHPC has achieved its highest ever generation by generating 24209 million units (MUs) (up to February 23, 2020) in the current year 2019-2020. The company has thus, surpassed its previous year (FY 2018-19) generation of 24193 MUs. This is the highest ever generation by the company since its incorporation in November 1975.
NHPC is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
