Vedanta slips on the bourses

Vedanta is currently trading at Rs. 116.65, down by 2.90 points or 2.43% from its previous closing of Rs. 119.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 120.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 120.80 and Rs. 115.20 respectively. So far 853822 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 195.00 on 08-Apr-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 109.00 on 02-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 131.30 and Rs. 109.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 43007.94 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.14%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.02% and 10.54% respectively.

Moody's Investors Service has downgraded Vedanta’s parent company -- Vedanta Resources’ Corporate Family Ratings (CFR) to B1 from Ba3. The agency has also downgraded the rating on senior unsecured bonds issued by Vedanta and those issued by its wholly owned subsidiary, Vedanta Resources Finance II Plc and guaranteed by Vedanta, to B3 from B2.

Vedanta is a diversified natural resources company, whose business primarily involves producing oil and gas, zinc- lead-silver, copper, iron ore, aluminium and commercial power.
