TVS Motor Company has reported a 22.5% dip in sales at 170,097 units in September, 2012 as compared to 219,369 units sold during the same month of last year. The sales of two-wheelers declined to 165,092 units in September 2012 from 215,690 units in September 2011. Moreover, exports also declined to 18,818 units in the reporting month as against 25,973 units in September last year, a drop by 27.7%.

TVS Motor Company is the third largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India and one among the top ten in the world. The company has a production capacity of 2.5 million units a year.
