Aster DM Healthcare gains after its arm acquires 100% stake in EMED

Aster DM Healthcare is currently trading at Rs. 96.70, up by 1.25 points or 1.31% from its previous closing of Rs. 95.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 95.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 96.70 and Rs. 93.70 respectively. So far 1626 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 180.50 on 12-Feb-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 78.50 on 24-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 97.55 and Rs. 85.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4682.93 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 37.80%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.02% and 44.17% respectively.

Aster DM Healthcare, through its wholly owned subsidiary, DM Med City Hospitals (India), has acquired 100% stake in EMED Human Resources India (EMED). EMED is an associate company of Aster DM Healthcare in which the company has 33.33% stake.

Pursuant to the aforementioned acquisition, the shareholding of the company has increased from 33.33% to 100%, thereby making EMED a wholly owned step-down subsidiary of the company.

Aster DM Healthcare operates as a healthcare company in the Middle East, India, and the Far East. It operates hospitals and clinics, pharmacies, diagnostic centers, educational institutions, and healthcare management and healthcare support systems.
