Bajaj Auto, India’s largest two-wheeler company is reportedly planning to introduce its new Discover 100cc commuter bike in the month of December 2012. The new Discover 100cc features will be based on the platform of Discover 125ST. New bike will be equipped with 100cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine offering a brilliant performance and a best in-class fuel efficiency.
The new Discover 100cc is likely to get alloy wheels and a front disc brake along with the best technology and specifications. The bike is expected to be priced at around Rs 50,000 ex-showroom.
The company has reported a 14% decline in its overall sales for the month of September 2012 which stood at 360,152 units against 417,686 units compared to the corresponding period last year. Despite sluggish market conditions, this is the second highest sales in any September by the company.
