Axis Bank reports consolidated net loss of Rs 1250.09 crore in Q4

Axis Bank has reported results for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2020.

The Bank has reported net loss of Rs 1387.78 crore for the quarter under review as compared to net profit Rs 1505.06 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank increased by 10.34% at Rs 20219.57 crore for Q4FY20 as compared Rs 18324.31 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the bank has reported net loss of Rs 1250.09 crore for the quarter under review as compared to net profit of Rs 1677.90 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank increased by 9.68% at Rs 20786.23 crore for Q4FY20 as compared Rs 18950.85 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2020, the bank has reported a fall of 65.21% in its net profit at Rs 1627.22 crore as compared to Rs 4676.61 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the bank increased by 14.76% at Rs 78171.72 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 68116.11 crore for year ended March 31, 2019.

For the year ended March 31, 2020, on the consolidated basis, the bank has reported a fall of 62.78% in its net profit at Rs 1878.75 crore as compared to Rs 5047.09 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the bank increased by 13.99% at Rs 80057.67 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 70232.40 crore for year ended March 31, 2019.
