Tata Power jumps on getting nod to raise Rs 1,500 crore via NCDs

Tata Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 33.85, up by 1.50 points or 4.64% from its previous closing of Rs. 32.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 34.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 34.60 and Rs. 33.30 respectively. So far 1935390 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 74.05 on 03-Jul-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 27.00 on 12-May-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 34.60 and Rs. 29.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 8749.94 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 37.22%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 46.46% and 16.31% respectively.

Tata Power Company’s board has approved issuance in one or more tranches, of non-cumulative, redeemable, taxable, listed, rated securities in the form of Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) upto an aggregate amount not exceeding Rs 1,500 crore or its equivalent in one or more currencies on private placement basis from domestic / off-shore markets to any persons, entities, bodies corporate, companies, banks, financial institutions and any other categories of eligible investors permitted to invest in the Debt Securities under applicable laws. The board of directors of the company at its meeting held on May 19, 2020 has approved the same.
