CESC gains on raising Rs 300 crore through NCDs

CESC is currently trading at Rs. 571.70, up by 3.65 points or 0.64% from its previous closing of Rs. 568.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 550.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 575.35 and Rs. 550.00 respectively. So far 12391 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 854.90 on 23-Sep-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 366.20 on 30-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 598.00 and Rs. 550.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7529.90 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 49.92%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 41.30% and 8.78% respectively.

CESC has raised Rs 300 crore through Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) and allotted 3000 Non-Convertible Debentures of face value of Rs 10 lakh each on a private placement basis, to ICICI Bank.

CESC is engaged in power generation and distribution in state of West Bengal. The company is a fully integrated power utility with its operation spanning the entire value chain right from mining coal, generating power and distribution of power.
