Vedanta reports consolidated net loss of Rs 12521 crore in Q4

Vedanta has reported results for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2020.

The company has reported net loss of Rs 10286 crore for the quarter under review as compared to net profit of Rs 39 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 8.56% at Rs 8640 crore for Q4FY20 as compared Rs 9449 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported net loss attributable to owners of the company of Rs 12521 crore for the quarter under review as compared to net profit of Rs 2615 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 18.78% at Rs 20382 crore for Q4FY20 as compared Rs 25096 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2020, the company has reported net loss of Rs 6732 crore as compared to net profit of Rs 5075 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 13.55% at Rs 38728 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 44796 crore for year ended March 31, 2019.

For the year ended March 31, 2020, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported net loss attributable to owners of the company of Rs 6664 crore as compared to net profit of Rs 7065 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 9.48% at Rs 86957 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 96066 crore for year ended March 31, 2019.
