Asian Paints reports 2% fall in Q4 consolidated net profit

Asian Paints has reported results for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2020.

The company has reported 5.44% fall in its net profit of Rs 452.09 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 478.12 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 8.44% at Rs 3944.13 crore for Q4FY20 as compared Rs 4307.63 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 2.07% fall in its net profit attributable to owner of Rs 461.89 crore for the quarter under review as against Rs 471.65 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 7.08% at Rs 4691.39 crore for Q4FY20 as compared Rs 5048.71 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2020, the company has reported 24.47% rise in its net profit of Rs 2653.95 crore as compared to Rs 2132.17 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 5.25% at Rs 17551.63 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 16676.59 crore for year ended March 31, 2019.

For the year ended March 31, 2020, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported 25.48% rise in its net profit attributable to owner of Rs 2705.17 crore as compared to Rs 2155.92 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 5.31% at Rs 20515.56 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 19481.49 crore for year ended March 31, 2019.
