Karur Vysya Bank gains on reporting 39% rise in Q4 net profit

Karur Vysya Bank is currently trading at Rs. 35.35, up by 1.45 points or 4.28% from its previous closing of Rs. 33.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 35.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 35.95 and Rs. 34.00 respectively. So far 477887 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 71.60 on 05-Jul-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 18.15 on 27-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 37.00 and Rs. 27.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2813.57 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 2.11%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 44.38% and 53.50% respectively.

Karur Vysya Bank has reported 39.45% rise in its net profit of Rs 83.70 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2020 as compared to Rs 60.02 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 3.27% at Rs 1803.15 crore for Q4FY20 as compared Rs 1746.04 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2020, the bank has reported 11.45% rise in its net profit of Rs 235.02 crore as compared to Rs 210.87 crore for the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 5.40% at Rs 7144.60 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 6778.59 crore for year ended March 31, 2019.
