NTPC has reported results for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2020.
The company has reported 71.21% fall in its net profit of Rs 1252.44 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 4350.32 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 25.43% at Rs 28278.75 crore for Q4FY20 as compared Rs 22545.61 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 71.64% fall in its net profit attributable to owners of Rs 1442.57 crore for the quarter under review as against Rs 5087.23 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 23.16% at Rs 31315.32 crore for Q4FY20 as compared Rs 25426.13 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
For the year ended March 31, 2020, the company has reported a 13.93% fall in its net profit of Rs 10112.81crore as compared to Rs 11749.89 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 9.00% at Rs 100478.41 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 92179.56 crore for year ended March 31, 2019.
For the year ended March 31, 2020, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported a 15.55% fall in its net profit attributable to owners of Rs 11600.23 crore as compared to Rs 13736.68 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 9.60% at Rs 112372.68 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 102533.05 crore for year ended March 31, 2019.
