Tata Steel reports consolidated net loss of Rs 1095 crore in Q4

Tata Steel has reported results for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2020.

The company has reported net loss of Rs 436.83 crore for the quarter under review as compared to net profit of Rs 2491.09 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 27.38% at Rs 14282.79 crore for Q4FY20 as compared Rs 19667.52 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported net loss attributable to owners of Rs 1095.68 crore for the quarter under review as against net profit of Rs 2430.92 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 18.24% at Rs 35085.86 crore for Q4FY20 as compared Rs 42913.73 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2020, the company has reported a 35.98% fall in its net profit of Rs 6743.80 crore as compared to Rs 10533.19 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 16.68% at Rs 60840.09 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 73016.00 crore for year ended March 31, 2019.

For the year ended March 31, 2020, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported 73.55% fall in its net profit attributable to owners of Rs 2719.58 crore as compared to Rs 10283.45 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 10.96% at Rs 141660.14 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 159089.57 crore for year ended March 31, 2019.
