Prism Johnson touches roof on getting nod to sell stake in RQBE

Prism Johnson is currently trading at its upper limit of Rs. 48.50, up by 4.40 points or 9.98% from its previous closing of Rs. 44.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 46.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 48.50 and Rs. 45.00 respectively. So far 144842 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 96.30 on 17-Jul-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 25.80 on 25-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 49.70 and Rs. 43.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2441.28 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.87%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.31% and 13.82% respectively.

Prism Johnson has received an approval for divestment of its entire holding of 51% of the paid-up equity share capital in Raheja QBE General Insurance Company (RQBE), a material subsidiary, to QORQL, for an aggregate consideration of Rs 289.68 crore. Post the divestment, RQBE will also cease to be a subsidiary of the Company.

Prism Johnson (formally known as Prism Cement) is a building materials company. The company has interest in Portland cement, tiles, bathroom and kitchen (TBK) and ready mixed concrete (RMC).
