IEX rises as its electricity market trades 4790 MU volume in June

Indian Energy Exchange is currently trading at Rs. 192.35, up by 4.50 points or 2.40% from its previous closing of Rs. 187.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 189.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 195.60 and Rs. 189.90 respectively. So far 21701 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 203.40 on 25-Feb-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 111.05 on 23-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 199.00 and Rs. 177.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5766.46 crore.

The Institutions holding in the company stood at 63.26% and Non-Institutions held at 36.74%.

Indian Energy Exchange's (IEX) electricity market has witnessed a total trade of 4790 MU in June 2020 recording a 5% YoY increase, despite the national peak demand registering a 10% YoY decline during the month. The Day-Ahead Market (DAM) traded 4174 MU and witnessed high sell side liquidity in the month, with total sell bids at 10164 MU being close to 1.5X the buy bids at 4661 MU.
