Central Bank of India moves up on planning to raise up to Rs 5,000 crore equity capital

Central Bank of India is currently trading at Rs. 16.45, up by 0.20 points or 1.23% from its previous closing of Rs. 16.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 15.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 16.55 and Rs. 15.90 respectively. So far 42351 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 25.80 on 04-Nov-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 10.20 on 13-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 17.65 and Rs. 15.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 9421.11 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 92.39%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 4.67% and 2.94% respectively.

Central Bank of India is planning to raise up to Rs 5,000 crore of equity capital through various modes, including follow on public offer and rights issue, to maintain its capital adequacy ratio.

It plans to raise capital through follow on public offer (FPO), rights issue or qualified institutional placement (QIP), and will seek approval from shareholders in the upcoming annual general meeting to be held on August 7, 2020.

Central Bank of India is a commercial bank. The bank’s segments include Treasury Operations, Corporate/Wholesale Banking, Retail Banking and other Banking business.
