Tata Power surges as its arm raises Rs 350 crore via NCDs

Tata Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 49.35, up by 0.50 points or 1.02% from its previous closing of Rs. 48.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 49.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 49.65 and Rs. 48.55 respectively. So far 172175 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 68.80 on 23-Sep-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 27.00 on 12-May-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 49.95 and Rs. 46.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 13321.01 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 37.22%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 46.46% and 16.31% respectively.

Tata Power’s wholly-owned subsidiary -- Coastal Gujarat Power (CGPL) has raised Rs 350 crore through non-convertible debentures (NCDs). The company has successfully issued and allotted Unsecured, Rated, Listed, Taxable, Guaranteed, Redeemable, NCDs on private placement basis for a tenor of 3 years.
The NCDs have been rated AA (CE) by India Ratings & Research and will carry a coupon rate of 8.55 per cent, payable annually.
