Steel Strips Wheels (SSWL) has bagged firm export orders for over 17,000 wheels for EU caravan Trailer Market to be executed in August from its chennai plant. Similar orders are expected in times to come from other regular customers as the market regains normalcy.
This will support further ramping up of production at chennai steel wheels plant. The company expects to run its chennai car business at 100% utilization in August backed by robust demand from exports.
SSWL is a part of the Steel Strips Group, headquartered in Chandigarh. It is engaged in the manufacturing of single piece steel wheel rims in the range of 10 to 30 inches for scooters, passenger cars, utility vehicles and tractors. It supplies rims to almost all major manufacturers of two wheelers, three wheelers, four wheelers, tractors and heavy commercial vehicle.
