HCC gains on winning Rs 4,167 crore Bhadbhut Barrage project with JV

Hindustan Construction Company is currently trading at Rs. 5.92, up by 0.03 points or 0.51% from its previous closing of Rs. 5.89 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 5.84 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 6.03 and Rs. 5.82 respectively. So far 633568 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 13.31 on 27-Nov-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 3.60 on 26-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 6.30 and Rs. 5.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 904.79 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.71%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 33.46% and 31.83% respectively.

Hindustan Construction Company (HCC), in a joint venture (JV) with Dilip Buildcon (DBL), has been awarded a Rs 4,167.7 crore contract by the Narmada Water Resources, Water Supply and Kalpsar Department (NWRWS&KD), for design and construction of the Bhadbhut Barrage in Gujarat. HCC share in the JV is 49% (i.e. Rs 2,042 crore).

This is an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for construction of Bhadbhut barrage, flood protection embankments and associated works across River Narmada near Bhadbhut village in Bharuch District of Gujarat. The project is to be completed in 48 months.

HCC is a leader in engineering and construction space. The company has established a vast presence and gained recognition in the sectors of Hydro Power, Water Solutions, Transportation and Nuclear Power.
