Wheels India inches up on planning to explore more OEMs in wind energy business

Wheels India is currently trading at Rs. 413.40, up by 0.40 points or 0.10% from its previous closing of Rs. 413.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 406.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 414.75 and Rs. 405.30 respectively. So far 248 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 720.00 on 09-Jan-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 284.15 on 23-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 438.95 and Rs. 405.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 994.83 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.27%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.78% and 17.95% respectively.

Wheels India is planning to explore more original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in wind energy business. Globally, the prospects for wind energy business looked good. The company has just started exports to one OEM and will explore more OEMs going forward.

The company has also invested in a 'cast aluminium wheel factory' and it was expected to begin exports from September. The demand for the company's forged aluminium wheels in overseas markets was expected to improve in the coming year.

Wheels India engages in the design, manufacture, and sale of automobile wheels in India.
