Bajaj Auto falls on reporting 33% decline in July sales

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 2961.95, down by 42.45 points or 1.41% from its previous closing of Rs. 3004.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 3006.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 3068.45 and Rs. 2952.75 respectively. So far 16450 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3315.00 on 03-Feb-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1793.10 on 24-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 3149.75 and Rs. 2935.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 86072.22 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.69 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 22.83 % and 23.48 % respectively.

Bajaj Auto has reported 33 per cent decline in total sales to 255,832 units in July as against 381,530 in the same month last year. Total domestic sales fell 23 per cent to 158,976 units last month as compared to 205,470 units in July 2019. Total two-wheeler sales were down 26 per cent at 238,556 units as compared to 322,210 units in the year-ago month.

Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
