Hero MotoCorp, world’s largest two wheeler maker by volumes has started producing the Passion X-Pro commuter motorcycle. The company showcased three new products early this year, just before the 2012 Indian Auto Expo, in the form of Hero Ignitor 125, the Maestro 110cc scooter and the Passion X-Pro 110cc commuter motorcycle. Out of these, the Ignitor and the Maestro have already been introduced in India, while the launch of the Hero Passion X-Pro 110 is just weeks away given that the company has begun the production.
In the last few months, company’s sales have been slipping due to decreasing demand for entry level commuter motorcycles in India. So, it will be betting on the Passion X-Pro to increase the volumes. The Passion X-Pro will be more efficient than existing Spendor and Passion motorcycles. This 110cc four stroke engine, which made its debut on the Honda CB Twister, has been borrowed by Hero for use on the Passion X-Pro.
