M&M gains as its auto sector sells 30,426 vehicles in August 2020

Mahindra & Mahindra is currently trading at Rs. 611.90, up by 5.40 points or 0.89% from its previous closing of Rs. 606.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 610.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 621.15 and Rs. 607.40 respectively. So far 96403 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 648.55 on 12-Aug-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 245.80 on 25-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 647.00 and Rs. 602.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 76226.35 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 19.60%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 63.95% and 16.20% respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has reported its auto sales performance for the month of August 2020. In the Passenger Vehicles segment (which includes UVs, Cars and Vans), Mahindra sold 13,651 vehicles in August 2020, compared to 13,507 vehicles in August 2019, registering a marginal growth of 1%.

In the Commercial Vehicles segment, the company sold 15,299 vehicles in August 2020, as against 14,684 vehicles in August 2019, a growth of 4%. Exports for the month of August 2020 were at 1,169 vehicles.

The company’s overall automotive sales (Domestic+Exports) stood at 30,426 vehicles in August 2020, compared to 36,085 vehicles during August 2019.
