Union Bank of India gains on reporting 48% rise in Q1 consolidated net profit

Union Bank of India is currently trading at Rs. 30.95, up by 0.50 points or 1.64% from its previous closing of Rs. 30.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 32.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 32.20 and Rs. 30.85 respectively. So far 1164068 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 65.70 on 29-Nov-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 22.60 on 20-May-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 32.20 and Rs. 29.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 19861.22 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 89.07%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.85% and 5.08% respectively.

Union Bank of India has reported a rise of 48.26% in its net profit at Rs 332.74 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2020 as compared to Rs 224.43 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank reports 2-fold jump at Rs 19,891.26 crore for Q1FY21 as compared Rs 9,887.14 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the bank has reported a rise of 48.16% in its net profit at Rs 340.95 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2020 as compared to Rs 230.12 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank reports 2-fold jump at Rs 20,487.01 crore for Q1FY21 as compared Rs 10,053.68 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
