Reliance Power tumbles on defaulting on payment of principal, interest

Reliance Power is currently trading at Rs. 3.28, down by 0.14 points or 4.09% from its previous closing of Rs. 3.42 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 3.36 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 3.49 and Rs. 3.23 respectively. So far 4585483 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 5.23 on 03-Jul-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1.00 on 26-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 3.85 and Rs. 3.17 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 917.28 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 19.29%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.92% and 70.78% respectively.

Reliance Power has defaulted on payment of principal and interest totaling to Rs 300.22 crore. The default was on loans taken from Axis Bank, Yes Bank, IDBI Bank, and Lakshmi Vilas Bank.
