ICICI Bank surges on getting exemption from paring stake in insurance arms to 30%

ICICI Bank is currently trading at Rs. 369.90, up by 6.25 points or 1.72% from its previous closing of Rs. 363.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 363.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 371.60 and Rs. 363.65 respectively. So far 295875 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 552.40 on 30-Dec-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 269.00 on 24-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 375.00 and Rs. 359.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 255528.64 crore.

The Institutions holding in the company stood at 88.72%, while Non-Institutions held 10.87%.

ICICI Bank has got exemption from paring stake in its life and non-life subsidiaries to 30 per cent for a period of three years. A government notification exempted ICICI Bank from the provisions of Section 19(2) of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 with respect to shareholding above 30 per cent in ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company, for a period of three years.
