Future Enterprises falls after defaulting on debt repayment

Future Enterprises is currently trading at Rs. 13.70, down by 0.65 points or 4.53% from its previous closing of Rs. 14.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 14.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 14.30 and Rs. 13.65 respectively. So far 381573 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 29.55 on 05-Nov-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 7.55 on 07-Apr-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 15.25 and Rs. 13.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 625.53 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.11%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 3.83% and 46.07% respectively.

Future Enterprises has defaulted on debt repayment towards commercial paper. The company is unable to service its obligations in respect of the payment of commercial paper after its maturity and the gross principal amount on which the default has occurred on September 14, 2020, is Rs 90 crore. The delay in reporting is due to efforts being made by the company to make payment by mobilising certain funds to make payment and then submit report of having repaid with delay.

Future Enterprises develops, owns and leases the retail infrastructure for the Group. The company also holds the Group’s investments in subsidiaries and joint ventures including insurance, textile manufacturing, supply chain and logistics.
