Debt-strapped Kingfisher Airlines has extended its lockout till the next weekend, evidently after failing to convince its striking staffers, who have decided not to resume work until the company pays their seven months’ salary. The airline management declared that due to operational reasons all flights across its network would be cancelled till October 20 2012.

On October 1st, the airline had declared a lock-out, after staff across various sections, including engineers, went on strike. Initially, the lock-out was till October 4 but was later extended till October 12 and now it’s again extended till October 20, 2012.

Aviation regulator DGCA earlier asked airline to stop selling tickets with all its flights cancelled since the lockout declared on October 4, but it had started accepting bookings last week before ending its lockout.
