Maruti Suzuki gains after selling 5.5 lakh units of Brezza in 4.5 years of launch

Maruti Suzuki India is currently trading at Rs. 6887.05, up by 70.20 points or 1.03% from its previous closing of Rs. 6816.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 6852.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 6938.00 and Rs. 6834.20 respectively. So far 38805 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 7755.00 on 29-Oct-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 4002.00 on 03-Apr-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 6938.00 and Rs. 6673.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 207704.21 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.28%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.53% and 5.19% respectively.

Maruti Suzuki India’s compact SUV Vitara Brezza has crossed 5.5 lakh units cumulative sales milestone within 4.5 years of launch. Designed and conceptualised in India for India, the model was launched in early 2016. With the migration to BS-VI emission norm, the company had earlier this year introduced a new version of the vehicle powered by a 4 cylinder 1.5 Litre K-series BS-VI petrol engine, while doing away with the diesel variant.
