GAIL (India) has handed over 18 four-wheel CNG ‘Dry Waste Collection Vehicles’ worth Rs 1 crore to Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), lending support to the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ in the – city.
The vehicles, provided under company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, are going to be used for dry waste collection. They run on dual fuel, i.e., compressed natural gas (CNG) and petrol. CNG is an environment-friendly fuel which is cheaper than conventional fuels and reduces maintenance cost too.
