Tech Mahindra, Datamatics Global Services and HIL to see some action today

Tech Mahindra’s wholly owned subsidiary---Tech Mahindra (Americas), Inc. has agreed to acquire 6.03% equity shares in VitalTech Holdings, Inc. It will strengthen company’s existing Healthcare IT services business and help company’s healthcare customers in their digital transformation journey. The cost of acquisition is $3 million and the company has the option to invest an additional amount of up to $5 million till January 2021.

Datamatics Global Services has launched an exhaustive repository of automation use cases across industries and functions. The repository has more than 800 RPA use cases and can be a ready reckoner for enterprises to kick-start their automation journey. The repository is available on the Datamatics website and is freely accessible to anyone and everyone. The repository includes both industry-specific RPA use cases such as BFSI, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Functions specific use cases like Finance & Accounting, Information Technology, Human Resources, and others.

HIL (India) has recorded a 41 percent increase in production of malathion technical pesticide during the first six months of this fiscal (H1FY21). Despite restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company manufactured 530.10 tonnes of malathion technical in the first two quarters of the year as compared to 375.5 tonnes in corresponding period of last financial year, registering a growth of 41 percent.

Coal India’s (CIL) fuel allocation under the exclusive e-auction scheme for the non-power sector rose almost six-folds to 13.44 million tonnes (MT) in April-September this fiscal (H1FY21). The company had allocated 2.31 MT of dry fuel to the sector under the scheme in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. This growth comes amid the company looking to tap the non-power sector to consume its coal.

Ashok Leyland is expecting to increase its market share in the intermediate commercial vehicle (ICV) segment similar to the levels it has in medium and commercial vehicle nationally. The company is also witnessing 'good recovery' in segments like construction and mining, road construction, mining, iron ore, coal. With the festive season ahead of it there will be definitely a faster recovery in these segments.

Remsons Industries has signed definitive agreements to acquire assets of Magal Cables and shares of Woolford Properties. The company is one of the major suppliers of Magal Cables. Acquisition gives company access to key global OEMs.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have raised stake in Reliance Industries to a record 25.2% in the quarter ended September 30, 2020. FII holding 165.8 crore shares or 25.2% of the total shareholding. In the previous quarter ended June 30, foreign investors held 163.07 crore shares of 24.72%.
