Surya Roshni has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2012.
On Standalone basis, the company has posted a rise of 69.87% in its net profit at Rs 12.18 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 7.17 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 18.01% at Rs 701.44 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 594.41 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.
Surya Roshni has three segments viz steel, lighting and real estate. The company diversified into lighting products with the manufacturing of General Lighting Systems (GLS) and Fluorescent Tube Lamps (FTL) sold under brand name ‘Surya’ and started the production of Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs) in 2007.
