IEX gains on signing agreement with MCX

Indian Energy Exchange is currently trading at Rs. 193.85, up by 0.55 points or 0.28% from its previous closing of Rs. 193.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 194.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 196.50 and Rs. 193.15 respectively. So far 3584 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 219.05 on 16-Sep-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 111.05 on 23-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 197.30 and Rs. 190.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5853.33 crore.

The Institutions holding in the company stood at 65.29%, while Non-Institutions held 34.71%.

Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) has signed an agreement with Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) giving exclusive rights to the MCX to use the IEX’s electricity clearing prices for settlement of their derivative electricity contracts.

IEX is India’s first and no. 1 electricity exchange. It is a transparent, neutral, demutualised, nationwide, automated, online electricity trading platform. It enables efficient price discovery and price risk management for participants of the electricity market including industries eligible for open access through anonymous platform.
