M&M, Thomas Cook and FDC to see some action today

Mahindra & Mahindra’s (M&M) subsidiary company -- Mahindra Electric Mobility has launched its new electric 3-wheeler cargo model Treo Zor at starting price of Rs 2.73 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Built on the Treo platform, the new offering comes in three variants – pick up, delivery van and flat bed - and will be available at Mahindra small commercial vehicle dealerships in select cities across the country from December.

Thomas Cook (India) and its Group Company, SOTC Travel, have introduced Crazy Deals in partnership with IndiGo with a wide range of options and value add ons - at great pricing. On offer are an array of top domestic destinations such as Goa, Udaipur, Jaipur, Kerala, Himachal, North East, Ranthambore, Mussoorie, Rishikesh, Chittorgarh, Andaman, among others, starting at an attractive price of Rs 10 999.00 and international short haul destinations such as Dubai and Maldives starting at Rs 32 640.00 and Rs 45 710.00 respectively.

FDC has launched new strength variants of its Favipiravir brands - PiFLU and Favenza, used to treat mild to moderate cases of COVID-19 in India. These prescription-only drugs will be available at all retail medical outlets and hospital pharmacies across the country, from November 1, 2020. The 800mg version of the drugs will help reduce the number of tablets to be taken by any patient by 75%. Currently patients are required to take 18 pills on the first day followed by 8 tablets every day for the next 13 days.

Vedanta has launched an initiative wherein the company will partner with digital tech startups in order to tap into massive innovation and growth opportunities. The initiative 'Vedanta Spark' will tie up with early-stage, growth-stage and venture-stage digital tech startups. Through Vedanta Spark, the company seeks young and innovative startups and specialists to come forward and join hands with Vedanta, thus unlocking value and growth potential at an accelerated pace.

CEAT is looking at export opportunities for its speciality tyres in Europe and North America, and is also exploring new markets for radial tyres for buses and trucks. The RPG Group company currently exports its range of products to over 100 countries. Besides, the commissioning of Chennai plant in February this year will boost the company's export business, which generally accounts for 12-13 percent of the overall revenue.

Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) has entered into a licensing agreement with Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) to launch Electricity derivatives. The derivatives will be linked to IEX spot electricity prices on MCX trading platform. The agreement is subject to necessary approvals from the central government and the concerned regulators. This shall lay the groundwork for a vibrant electricity derivatives market in the country.

Tech Mahindra and Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) have signed a contract worth Rs 400 crore recently in Bengaluru for implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to support HAL’s ‘Project Parivartan’. The ‘Project Parivartan’ is a comprehensive business transformation exercise initiated by HAL through technology enhancement and centralized ERP. The company will be responsible for the transformation and modernisation of the ERP System as an implementation and support partner enabling HAL to streamline and standardize its business processes across the organization.
