Rallis India gains on reporting 6% rise in Q2 net profit

Rallis India is currently trading at Rs. 143.95, up by 2.40 points or 1.70% from its previous closing of Rs. 141.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 144.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 146.50 and Rs. 143.00 respectively. So far 73,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 176.00 on 19-Oct-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 111.55 on 27-Apr-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 150.60 and Rs 140.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 2,799.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.09% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.32% and 26.59% respectively.

The company has posted a rise of 6.14% in its net profit at Rs 65.67 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 61.87 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income from operation has increased by 7.28% at Rs 465.75 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 434.16 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.

Rallis India mainly deals in Agri Business and has emerged as one of the leaders in the Indian Agrochemical Industry. The company is also in the Institutional business providing technical and bulk of various molecules to leading companies like Bayer, Syngenta, Excel, UPL, Gharda, Cheminova  etc.
