Indian Hotels Company jumps on signing three new Taj Hotels

The Indian Hotels Company is currently trading at Rs. 125.10, up by 5.05 points or 4.21% from its previous closing of Rs. 120.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 121.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 127.85 and Rs. 121.00 respectively. So far 170257 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 151.30 on 09-Dec-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 62.10 on 18-May-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 127.85 and Rs. 110.60      respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 14966.82 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 40.75%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 41.98% and 17.26% respectively.

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed three Taj hotels -- two in Kolkata, West Bengal and one in Patna, Bihar. These new hotels are in partnership with Ambuja Neotia Group, who have already partnered with IHCL for two other hotels in the East -- Taj Chia Kutir, Darjeeling, West Bengal and Taj Guras Kutir in Gangtok, Sikkim. These five projects will culminate to a total of 500 rooms.

Indian Hotels Company and its subsidiaries are collectively known as Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces and recognized as one of Asia's largest and finest hotel company. It operates in the luxury, premium, midmarket and value segments of the market.
